I saw this on you tube and am definitely qualified to learn more and enhance my recovery as a participant of Adult Children of Alcoholics.

Thank you for this opportunity to learn of what went wrong after 43 years of Al-Anon, and now 4 months of ACoA. I am 71 this coming Weds, I now understand why Alanon became uncomfortable for me. I was not with the alcoholic (husband) and eventually empty nester and alone for 22 years about. I currently am in a long distance that has the earmarks of a tainted relationship which I would like to see to the best if still ahead. He expresses himself like he may qualify for the same program.

Am happy to have found this site and am incorporating it into my psyche and welcome the recovery.

Hello, I just finished viewing the intro and 1.1 videos and then realized there was no more... I was wondering if and when the rest of the "class" will be posted.
I am from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and I am sort of just begining by search for information about adult children of alcoholics. I didn't even know that was the term used. Anyways, thanks for your time.

Dear Scott, I definitely agree with you on this. The elephant in the room in America is parental abuse of children-it's the thing our culture refuses to directly acknowledge or talk about. I have friends who were sexually abused, and that's even more taboo to talk about than alcoholism. So we have to hide behind closed doors and conduct our healing as a kind of parallel life to what our worklife/general society is doing. Thank you for your website and YouTube videos. It means a lot.
