Exposure to Alcohol in the Womb Affect Pain Response in Babies

According to recent research, when a mom-to-be has 14 drinks a week (two per day) or more, their babies do not respond to pain the same as babies born to moms who do not drink. Whether this pain responses lasts into adulthood or not still needs to be studies, it does show that drinking during pregnancy directly impacts the physical functioning of the infant.
