AA Cuts Drinking, Depression

People who attended Alcoholics Anonymous meetings drank less -- and less frequently -- than those who did not attend AA, and also were less depressed, according to research based on the federal Project MATCH treatment study.

It would be great to see similar research on Alanon. Obviously the findings around drinking would be secondary, but any findings on depression, feelings of acceptance, and a sense of growth would be very beneficial.
