One of the great crimes of family alcoholism is that it robs so many people of their voice.  Alcoholism is a disease that creates silence in others.  Shame and fear thrive when no one talks.
That is why so many people are willing to keep the silence, even decades after leaving an alcoholic home.  That is why, in a room full of people, up to half have dealt with the pain, the frustration, the sadness of family alcoholism, but no one says a thing.
The time for silence is over.
We are Families in Recovery, and we give voice to the silence.  Our mission is to create opportunities for healing for children and others hurt by family alcoholism.
Please watch our brief video and then consider donating $5 to our mission.  We know it’s not a lot of money, but we are looking for a chorus, for manyvoices to rise up together.
The first step is adding your voice to ours.  With your small donation, you give us the resources we need to bring the message of hope and healing to all children of alcoholics and to all people suffering from the pain and the hurt of growing up in an alcoholic family.
And regardless of whether you can make a donation at this time, please sign up for our mailing list.  We can keep you up-to-date on the important work done by Families in Recovery.

Thanks for your time.
